Additional Information:
Stephen Firth, Garden Designer and RHS Gold Medal Winner will explore why we have water in our gardens, the type of pond or water feature, where to site them, methods of
construction and aquatic plants. Stephen Firth, a four times Gold Medal winner at RHS Chelsea, including Best in Shows, studied landscaping at Merrist Wood College in the late 1970's when “Garden Design” was in its embryonic days.
He ran his own business before moving into teaching in the mid 1990's . At Brinsbury College in West Sussex he set up the first garden design programmes, ultmately becoming Head of Horticulture, before joining
he staff at Merrist Wood College in 2006. Stephen has lived and worked in New Malden for 50 years and is a member of our Society.
